Commonly asked questions about data, methodology and insights on rural analytics
The data for rural analytics is acquired from various government sources such as the E-gram swaraj portal, NFHS survey, and state specific socio-economic data.
Villages in India are governed by local governmental organisations called ” gram panchayats.” Panchayat heads (sarpanches) are elected democratically. Each gram panchayat publishes a list of “gram panchayat development plans” (GPDPs) that outline a set of activities panchayats intend to accomplish. Our analysis aims to understand the effectiveness of GPDPs and how well they translate to outcomes.
